Make your kayaking trip easier
For avid kayakers with their own boats who want to explore the wild beauty of the Rivière du Gouffre, our shuttle service is at your disposal. Choose between two exciting routes: an 8 km descent or a longer 20 km adventure. You'll be able to navigate the course of the river and return directly to the Baie-Saint-Paul quay for an unforgettable day of adventure.
About the shuttle service
The shuttle service includes transportation of your equipment and the bus ride to one of the scheduled departure points.
- Participants must arrive 50 minutes before the start at the Baie St Paul wharf.
- Maximum kayak size 15'6" or 4.75 meters.
- Please note that we do not transport canoes.
- Limited availability, by reservation only.
The enviroment you will visit
The Rivière du Gouffre is a river of unique forest landscapes, winding through a valley of clay and sand. At the end of the route, you'll cross a more rural and urbanized section: the village of Baie-Saint-Paul. As you travel along the river, you'll have the opportunity to stop at one of the beaches, ideal for a swim or picnic. The river is renowned for its Atlantic salmon, brook trout and rainbow trout. It also attracts salmon fishing enthusiasts. As visitors, let's be aware of the fragility of this exceptional environment.

Duration
Total duration 2h30 to 3h (including welcome, equipment handover, instructions, transport and descent). The descent lasts approximately 1h30 to 2h (depending on water level).

Cancellation policy
- Up to 7 days before the activity** : 10% of the total amount will be non-refundable, change without charge during the same season.
- From 7 days to 48 hours before the activity**: 50% of the total amount is non-refundable, with no change charge within the same season.
- From 48 h to the day of the activity**: 100% of the total amount is non-refundable, with a $20 change fee during the same season.
- On the day of the activity**: 100% of the total amount is non-refundable and cannot be changed.
