Canyoning

1/2 day of canyoning into the Waterfull at Cimon

Description

Canyoning Waterfull at Cimon

Half day of canyoning: descent of wild canyons using ropes at Chute Cimon in Les Éboulements.

New on the list of open air activities, canyoning consists in hiking down a wilderness canyon using ropes. Equipped with a helmet and a neoprene suit, you will experiment the pleasure of coming down a vertical water cascade on a rope, amidst a spectacular landscape.

It is an initiation for all those who have never rappelled down a rope. A practical demonstration is made before the descent. It is not escalade. But the descent in an aquatic environment will pleasantly surprise even experienced rock-climbers.

Discover

Several waterfalls descend to the river in a limestone ravine near Saint-Joseph-de-la Rive. We offer easy half-day initiation tours. The half-day excursion takes place in the lower portion of the ravine, which turns into an enchanting canyon, accessible by a vertical descent in the dry. This site is recommended for young children. We go down a small stream steeped in the shade of a canopy of cedars. The finale is the Chute à Cimon, a 30 meter waterfall. Course without swimming.

You will experience

Your professional canyoning guides will make you drop into a canyon that represent a seismic fault line created by a meteorite that impacted the region of Charlevoix. A unique experience of adventure and geological discovery.
